Do you pay attention to the lyrics of the songs?

a couple months ago i was at the punk/goth bar i used to go often and i was having a convo with some people, and most of them didnt really care or paid attention to the lyrics of songs.
I kept asking online and around for that and lotta people were indifferent to it.
Am I weird for paying close attention to them? lyrics can make or break a song for me, can be a nice toon but shitty lyrics will ruin it, same with not so good songs musically but great and relatable lyrics will make me listen to them again.
I always liked poetry and literature so that might influence this situation a bit but not sure, i think lyricis is a very important part of a song but for some people vocals are just another random instrument.
I know this is a non issue but i tend to overthink stuff like this lmao
Am I the minority in this? I mean in paying a lot of attention to the lyrics?

Goth Songs/Bands with No Lyrics?

Does anyone know any songs or bands which are goth but have no lyrics? I want to make a goth study playlist so I can listen to new goth music while studying but I can't study when music has lyrics. If anyone has any recommendations, I'd really appreciate it! I'm open to everything (goth of course)

The song “Lucretia My Reflection” by The Sisters of Mercy was written by Andrew Eldritch about Patricia Morrison. The lyrics compare her to the historical figure of Lucrezia Borgia. (Wikipedia)

Gentler Dark Lyrics?

I hope no one finds this obnoxious to ask but…while I really love the sound of Darkwave I do find some of the lyrics to be a bit much for me sometimes (like a bit too dark, sexy or creepy in some cases). I was wondering if you guys had any recommendations for bands that maybe had less intense lyrics. For example most of The Frozen Autumn's lyrics I would consider at the perfect level for me. Also the song Fantasmas by Twin Tribes is a good level for me, and Sanri by She Past Away. Also I love the sound of these groups!!!

People often tell me to ignore the lyrics when I ask questions like this, but I can't 😅. Lyrics are important to me. I like to know what's being said as it helps me connect with the music more, and I like to sing along as well. For me, the lyrics are a huge part of the fun!

Please let me know if guys have any suggestions!!! Thanks a lot for your time!

What are the actual lyrics of Clan of Xymox’s – Michelle? (reloaded)

Question was originally posted by /SweetDreamsTitus 4 years ago, but since archived and no satisfying answer, here we go again..

what are the lyrics of the vocals? it is not mentioned in the lyrics

the original post mentioned: Michelle tattle tell / Michelle my belle.. but I just cannot hear that..

for me its just something like: Michelle out of Hell / Michelle Heaven Hell 🙂 Haven't tell? Head of Hell?

anyone?

So, I’ve put some famous songs’ lyrics in an AI that creates paintings from words. The results are more interesting than I expected.
